The 2019 Townsville Tourist LC Transition Meet due to be held this weekend the 2nd and 3rd of February has been postponed due to severe weather conditions.

As the Townsville Tourist meet has been postponed and this was the last chance for swimmers to achieve State Sprint Qualifying times, SNQ has gained approval from SQ for an extension to the entry deadline for State Sprints.  Townsville Brothers and Mirani clubs have kindly advised they are willing to extend the entry deadline for their meets to allow swimmers the chance to nominate and achieve times from these meets. Closing dates are now as follows:

·Brothers Midnight Tuesday 5th February 2019

·Mirani Midnight Tuesday 5th February 2019

There are strict conditions with the entry extension as follows:

·The State Sprint entry extension only applies to swimmers who do not currently have a qualifying time for any of the events at Sprints.  

·All swimmers who currently have qualifying times must ensure they nominate online prior to the closing date as advised on the SQ website.

·No nominations will be accepted from swimmers who had a qualifying time prior to the original closing date as per the SQ website.

·Entries under this extension period must be forwarded manually to the SNQ Race Secretary  snqracesecretary@gmail.com no later than midday Monday 11th February 2019.  

·All manual entries received will be checked to ensure they comply with the above conditions. If entries are received that are outside the above conditions these will not be entered. 

An opportunity for swimmers to participate in a Time Trial will also be offered at these two meets if necessary and will be under the direction of the meet Referee.  The standard time trial rulings will apply.  Please see attached information.
