SNQ Life Membership Award

Congratulations to Luc Senet for being awarded Swimming North Queensland Life Membership.

Luc has been supporting the swimming community in our region for over 30 years. Luc's passion towards swimming and helping young to old swimmers achieve their goals is unquestionable. He gives his time freely without expecting any reward. Most recently he ran a development camp at Richmond for the rural swimmers to experience and benefit from different coaching styles. Once again, giving his time freely.

Luc also instigated and continues to carry out open water swimming training on Sunday mornings for all swimmers to attend. There are very few coaches in our region that offer this kind of training and opportunity to swimmers without expecting reward. Luc again gives his time freely to coach these swimmers regardless of whether they are aligned with a club and has been offering this training now for many years.

Our club has been fortunate to have such an experienced and highly qualified coach for our swimmers for several years. Luc instills in not only our swimmers but also in those that visit our pool, the love of swimming and fosters in them the belief to succeed. We believe that Luc is an icon of swimming in our region and it would be a great honour if he is awarded life membership with our regional body, SNQ, to recognise his contributions towards sharing his knowledge, supporting swimmers and/or other coaches, and generally growing the sport of swimming in our region.
